Violin is my Passion

I've been playing the violin I'd say long time. Ever since I touched the mirror like wood, I knew that this would be with me forever. For 7 years I've been taught this instrument, and for 3 years I belived I could go on by my self. I was wrong. My musical passion fell apart. I was never so eager to find a teacher to pull me up and return myself to my journey, my dream...

So now do you have a teacher again? I certainly hope so, since there is so much you can do with your passion...I am amazed that you have such discipline that drives you foward. I'm still searching for a driving force in my life. I thought once it was writing, but now since swimming I can't be sure...yet I still think I will continue with both.

By the way, I love the quote by Albert Camus. I actually once heard it in a song. It evokes some powerful memories.

Yea actually today was my first violin lesson in 3 years! It feels great, but I keep getting negative advice of the success of going proffessiol, it scares me :\

Don't worry--if you really want to do it, things will work out for you. Congratulations! I hope you had fun today.

If it is your lifelong dream, it won't matter what place you come in. I know it sounds corny, but the truth is, if you are too focused on winning, energy is wasted on others. If you focus on becoming better for yourself, your energy becomes worthwhile. Only do it if you enjoy it more than the desire to rise above others.

Thanks for the booster. I've always looked at myself and asked, is this Dan suppose to play the violin for a long time? Like you it does make me a happier person. Yea now that I think about it, my own competiion is for my own good. More like a marker for me to pass. Thanks Abby

Good Luck to your dancing too. It sounds that you do have a lot of potential with your dancing. I'm sure your dancing will get you far. Big things start small. Good Luck
