Welcome to a new year of high school

When you think back in the past year, you remember all the great and glorious days. Or maybe you remember those dainty slow days. Never the less forget the past and embrace the future.

You can't change the past but you can change the future!

I agree! So how was everyone's summer?

My summer was as great as any summer can be. I met alot of people with different personalities. It made me have a greater perspective of the whole world. There may be plenty of people you don't like, but believe me there are more people you would like if you took the chance to explore. :D

Thanks for this reminder. The beginning of the year can be tough because we tend to remember the best of the past and dwell on the worst of the present. Hope for the future is a pleasant compromise.

This is a really good tip for someone who has moved recently. If you don't know people, it is very easy to focus on that fact alone, and it makes for a very negative attitude that will hinder one's ability to learn, grow, and go outside of their comfort zone.

I agree with Kakos, hope for the future is all we have at our low moments.

The past can define who we are, but doesn't always have to. In order to rid ourselves of the impression of our past. We have to suffocate any remnents of said past though, and that is often more difficult that dealing with where the past has led us...

Also, I agree with you, Dan, about giving people chances vs. disliking them. I think that so many great people are overlooked because of their obvious faults, rather than being truly appreciated for their more hidden yet charming, and lovable faults, if that makes sense. I could go on and on about this, but I'll refrain for your sake.

Living life with doubts about other people just is boring. This year I will know more people becuase I will get to know them. They may not come to me but Ill go to them. Being a sideline bench warmer isn't fun at all.
